There will be significant opportunities for Australian industry to be part of Australia’s conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarine program – from the delivery of the Submarine Construction Yard in Osborne, South Australia and infrastructure works at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia to the build of our SSN-AUKUS submarines, their operation, sustainment and eventual decommissioning and disposal.
This will be one of the greatest industrial endeavours in Australian history. Australian industry and jobs are at the forefront of the build and sustainment of our next generation conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines.
AUKUS will see around 20,000 jobs created across Australia, with unprecedented opportunities for Australian industry at home and abroad with our AUKUS partners. It is the opportunity to build a Future Made in Australia, by Australians, with record investments in defence, skills, jobs and infrastructure.
